Why study in New Zealand
World class education in English
New Zealand is an English speaking country which has a world class and
internationally recognised education system. All New Zealand universities are
government funded research universities with excellent facilities and offer
undergraduate degrees through to post-doctoral research positions.
Quality assured qualifications
The New Zealand Government has put in place strong national quality assurance
systems to maintain the quality and consistency of all training and assessment
programmes. All courses, programmes and qualifications offered by Queens
Academic Group are quality assured and approved by the New Zealand
Qualifications Authority to protect your investment in education. According to
the annual survey by the Berlin- based organization Transparency International,
New Zealand (second equal with Finland) is the world's second least corrupt
country.
Fast, efficient and friendly visa system
New Zealand has a fast, efficient and friendly visa system because we welcome
international students and have a strong tourism industry. It is easy to return
home or go to another country for holidays and then return back to New Zealand.
Student visa criteria are less stringent than for Australia, the UK or the USA.
Remember you can also gain extensions of your visa/permit through the school
once you are studying with us and wish to continue to do so.
Inexpensive living and world leading lifestyle
New Zealand is an inexpensive destination to study in comparison to Australia,
Canada, the UK or the USA. You will enjoy a high standard of living as Auckland,
where Queens Academic Group is located, was recently rated as the word's 5th
best lifestyle city (Worldwide 2004 Quality of Life City Rankings). New Zealand
is recognised internationally as the adventure tourism capital of the world
because there are so many outdoor activities.
Work while you study
If you enrol in a Diploma course or an English language course (where you have
an IELTS score of at least 5.0) of 1 year duration or more, you will be eligible
to work for up to 20 hours a week during term time and full-time over the summer
holiday. Upon completion of a Queens Diploma course (recognised by the New
Zealand immigration service), you will be eligible for a six-month graduate work
permit. You can apply for a full work permit during this six month period if
sponsored by an employer.
Working holidays
If you are from Korea, Japan, the UK, Ireland, Germany, the USA, Canada,
Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands,
Sweden, Hong Kong, Malaysia or Singapore then you can apply for a NZ working
holiday visa and permits online.
About New Zealand
New Zealand is located in the South Pacific Ocean, southeast of Australia and
was first discovered by Polynesian Maori who settled in about A.D. 800. The
signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840 signalled the beginning of
colonisation of New Zealand by the British Empire. Immigrants from Britain
brought the English language with them and so English became the common language
of New Zealand. |
